The kid says she doesn’t like to read
But through hundreds of story books does she easily proceed
The kid says she doesn’t like to study
But is still curios about all she can see
The kid says maths she can never understand
But attempts every night to count the stars grand
The kid says history goes straight above her head
But can still recall every story her father ever said
She says physics can never be her friend
But any broken toy she can easily mend
She says biology was never her thing
But she never fails to explore the woods every spring
As I learnt of this little child, I realised soon
That mistaken for a curse, was her beautiful boon
She had fallen in love with learning long long ago
But the same beauty of learning, her school couldn’t show
