I traced my path through the majestic remains
I saw the shattered temples it still retains
Upon crumbled castles, I heard echoes of the past
Of the most glorious of dynasties that couldn’t last
Yet the broken roots spoke of the fragrant blooms
The remnant smoke mirrored the fury of the fumes
The crumbles cried of the story etched on every side
As the pitiful remains still held their pride
It wasn’t terrible monsters that destroyed these lands
It was humans who did this, with human hands
What muses me is this simple thought
How with the same human form, they still fought
On the differences they had, did they feud and fight
For they couldn’t bear to see another culture in sight
They said this God wasn’t true and wasn’t the same
But they failed to realize, the only difference was the name
